ALEXANDRA LEICHTER

Alexandra Leichter is uniquely well-suited to the role of family law private judge, arbitrator, consultant, and settlement conference mediator. During her 35 years practicing family law, Ms. Leichter has litigated and negotiated thousands of complex marital dissolution and high-conflict custody cases. This experience, along with Ms. Leichter’s demonstrated sensitivity to the emotional and psychological aspects inherent in family law issues, renders her exceptionally qualified as a private adjudicator who promptly provides well-reasoned and judicious decisions.

Ms. Leichter was invited to serve as one of the select members of the “dual mediation panel” of the Los Angeles family law court, where she mediated some of the most complex and litigious cases on the court’s docket. She is also a frequently sought-after lecturer and author of articles on numerous subjects including family law practice & procedure, child custody litigation, the differences between the various private adjudication methods, the validity of pre-marital agreements, religious issues affecting family law, and other family law-related issues.

Ms. Leichter received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from UCLA in 1969 and her Juris Doctor degree in 1972 from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. She was named a “Southern California Super Lawyer” in 2005, 2006, and 2007 and was adjudged one of the “Top 50 Female Southern California Super Lawyers” in 2006.

As a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, and a Certified Family Law Arbitrator, certified by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Ms. Leichter has outstanding family law credentials. She is also a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
